Dashboard shows sample data

Use the local server rather than opening index.html directly. A missing live projection must render a real empty state; sample placeholders must never be labeled live.

Port already in use

make dash-status
make dash-restart

If an unrecognized service owns the port, choose another PENROSE_PORT; do not kill it blindly.

No candidates

Check Candidate Lab for eligible observation count, family support, capability admission, data blockers, and generation freeze status. Zero can be the correct result.

Many legacy verdicts after reset

The scientific ledger is preserved. Filter Verdict Archive to the active epoch. Legacy counts should remain visible but clearly separated.

Claim stops before backtest

Read the routing state. needs_data, pending_module, cannot_replicate, and needs_review each name a different resolution path.

Engine and dashboard commits differ

Restart the dashboard. Do not interpret stale server code as the current engine.

Calibration fails

Stop publishing or promoting results. Restore the green calibration bar before proceeding.
